Buderim
residents know the importance of working together to lend a hand and connecting
with each other. They’re the sort of people that smile and say hello in the
street, and it’s a place where people know each other's names. Our school takes
pride in not only being a centre of excellence in the community; but also
helping children to grow and prosper by offering ample community connection
opportunities.
We
hold many community events on our school premises, including the morning ANZAC
Day ceremony and Australia Day celebrations, and students participate with
pride in both parades.
We
also run a community kitchen, which endeavours to provide nourishing
home-cooked meals, free of processed ingredients, to members of the school
community who are in need of assistance.
Traffic Safety Videos
We are excited to share our series of "Lessons in Road Safety" videos produced by the P&C. The series has six lessons including information about how we can all help improve road safety around the school.
The initiative is supported by funding from the Queensland Government's Community Road Safety Grants Scheme, and includes a series of six videos as well as printed materials. The videos were produced by Buderim PR & video production company, Reflected Image Productions. Please take a couple of minutes to click through and watch the videos by clicking them below:
Parking a little further from school and walking can be a great option to avoid traffic. Let us show you how easy it is with our next Lessons in Road Safety Park and Walk Video below.
Road safety is important even when walking and everyone's day can be improved if everyone is polite. The next video in our Lessons in Road Safety series focuses on Road Etiquette, Courtesy & Safety for Kids.
The Buderim Lions will be relaunching their Walk to School Program in 2021. Here is another of our Road Safety videos to show you how it works.
