To
ensure that the latest technologies are accessible to all students, we have a
selection of laptops, desktops and iPads available for use during school hours.
The teachers use these technologies to help deliver the current Australian
curriculum and prepare children for their future.
Many
of these technologies, such as iPads and laptops come directly into the Wi-Fi
enabled classrooms to enhance literacy and numeracy lessons, though we also
have two dedicated computer labs and class sets of laptops for all year
levels to utilise as a class. A robotics and coding program is also part of our
digital technology school curriculum, and is participated in by all students
from P-6.
Teaching Staff at Buderim Mountain State School use a range of online software to enhance the learning opportunities for students across a range of subject areas. The Department of Education requires consent from parents to use their child's personal information to facilitate registration and use of any third party web based software.
Third Party Website Consent
The use of web based educational resources has risen steadily over the last decade and are increasingly being
used by teachers to improve student learning outcomes.
Our school makes decisions about the best technology to use to meet the needs of our students. Sometimes it
is beneficial for students to utilise web services provided by third party web based providers.
The survey below provides parents with links to information regarding what information each site collects, who has access to it and where the data is stored.
This information can be found in the hyperlinks for each website.
Note: It is not a requirement for you to provide consent for each website – If you decide not to provide consent, this information will stored centrally and communicated to your child's classroom teacher/s and specialist teachers.
