Buderim Mountain State School is dedicated to ensuring all students and teaching staff have access to the best 'on market' technology available in the education space to enhance teaching, learning and engagement for all students. All classrooms are 5G Wi-Fi enabled, have a BENQ interactive board installed and contain computer technology such as iPads or laptops, which are used by the teaching staff in all year levels to assist with delivery of the Australian Curriculum.
We have a class set of iPads shared between each double class in Prep to Year 2, and a class set of laptops shared between each double class in Years 3 and 4. In Years 5 and 6, students bring their own laptop to school and learn the key skills required to successfully transition to secondary schooling.
Our state-of-the-art science and technology centre was built in 2010, providing a dedicated science laboratory and enhancing the practical delivery of children's lessons. The centre is used primarily for our Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) program, which comes under our digital technology curriculum. Popular classes taught within STEM include robotics and coding, participated in by students from Prep to Year 6. The centre is also used by all year levels for more traditional based science lessons and experiments.
