Since
1886, Buderim Mountain State School has occupied its current site on Main
Street in Buderim. Sprawling over 14 acres, the lush school grounds include
magnificent trees, a memorial pine plantation established in 1946, and a
rainforest area with a creek and natural waterfall.
Our
school boasts exceptional sporting facilities including a heated 25-metre
swimming pool, two tennis courts, a basketball court and a large sports oval.
Our school swimming lessons and carnivals are held on the school grounds
utilising our pool, and our athletics carnivals and cross country events all
occur on campus.
Specialised
academic facilities include computer labs, laptop trolleys, a purpose-built science and
technology centre, a dedicated music building, a state of the art Resource
Centre and Special Education Program building.
To
enhance our children’s learning environment, our P&C worked with students’
families and the community to fundraise an incredible $250,000 to provide
air-conditioning to all classrooms. Each classroom also has Wi-Fi to
ensure the Australian Curriculum can be delivered using the latest technology
such as iPads and laptops where appropriate.
Recreational
time for students is an important part of their day, and an opportunity for
them to refresh between classes and connect socially with their friends. We provide
four separate play areas based on student year levels with age appropriate play equipment and ample shade
for Prep, Year 1, Year 2-3 and Year 4-6.
