At Buderim Mountain State School, we believe that early childhood education is about building success and confidence in our students, providing a safe and risk-free learning environment and building the routines of school life. Establishing a solid foundation in basic concept areas allows children to build their knowledge at a more in-depth level as they progress through school.
Children in Year 1 engage in a wide variety of learning areas and activities throughout the year. English, Mathematics, Science, HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences), The Arts, Health & Physical Education are all covered formally (as guided by the Australian Curriculum).
As part of the School Resource Scheme (SRS) payment, students are issued with a log-in to Mathletics. This is an interactive Mathematics website that compliments students learning within the classroom.
