Encouraging
children to develop their creativity, self-expression and self-confidence,
Buderim Mountain State School provides weekly 30-minute drama lessons to all
students.
The
drama program is run by a specialised teacher at no extra cost and operates in
conjunction with the national curriculum. Learning to perform and speak
publicly with confidence are skills that benefit students throughout their
lifetimes, and prepares them well for higher education.
Drama
students from our school compete annually in Sunshine Coast and State eisteddfods.
We
are proud to now offer a dance troupe to our Year 4 students, comprising of approximately
20 children who audition to join. The group compete in various regional events,
and a small
fee is required to cover the cost of competition fees.
